The Norfolk Sheriff Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization founded in 1996 by Sheriff Robert J. McCabe to benefit area cultural, educational, and civic organizations. Beneficiaries have included St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Norfolk Task Force on Aging and little league teams. The Norfolk Sheriff Foundation also proudly provides college scholarships; including one in honor of the late Deputy Sheriff Becky Weaver. In June, The Foundation is planning its Fourth Annual Youth Football Camp. More than 300 Norfolk middle school children have already benefited from the free three-day camp where football stars and area high school coaches teach football skills and important character-building lessons.
